Overview

The architects were farsighted in the timelessness of their 1960 design, developing a bright and airy facility of modern contemporary style.  Built in 1960 by intuitive architects, the clubhouse is spacious and bright. Its contemporary style is modern and timeless.   The open-concept of its main floor accomodates many types of social events for which Summerlea is renowned.  Balconies suitable for relaxing after a game or before an evening event stretch along two sides of the clubhouse and offer scenic views of the golf course on the west and the Ottawa River on the east.

Daily throughout the golf season, breakfast, lunch and dinner are served every day in an informal atmosphere at the Mixed Grill and the Seniors’ Lounge.  Formal dining is offered most evenings.  The Summerlea’s reputation of excellent and varied cuisine fits perfectly well  in “the gastronomic” capital of Canada–Montreal.

Various social functions, theme dinners and tournaments are planned during the golf season.  Social activities have always been an important part of Summerlea and the members are well known for their enthusiastic participation.

A full-size pool surrounded by a spacious deck is conveniently located next to the Clubhouse.  The area’s casual atmosphere is the perfect setting for the various outdoor functions and barbecues organized throughout the summer months.
